It can happen to any e46 not just pre march 2000This has me worried, mines a 320i.so not sure about the torque bit, but guys is there a chance ive been hit by this? As I said I took it to the indy they checked it out and just said the noise is suttle and a common noise for a manual transmission in this car. They said the donut, and subframe mounts were fine.

Not sure they looked for the subframe tear.though they would have checked it i would imagine. Is the floor tear the same thing? I dont know what to do as I have had it checked.
