It seems Nokia India is making it easier for their Indian customers to check the status of their Matsushita-made. Customers can now send an SMS text message to “5555” with a text containing “BT” and the 26 digit battery serial number (with a space in between). Users can expect a response on their battery’s status within a couple of seconds. Nokia has made available a for you to check the battery serial number in your Nokia phone. For some reason, Nokia is only offering this SMS text message service in India – perhaps they think India is the only country that would benefit from an alternative option. Sometimes my phone’s battery gets heated up even on standby and no application (but default) running. Eventually battery drains out really fast moving from full to just 1 bar in about 2 hrs.
